About

‘The purpose of life – to feel happy inside. The purpose of home – to feel happy inside’.

For me, home is a safe space - a sanctuary I can go to that makes me feel rested. Where I can reset and ground myself when I feel off balance, and a place where I can welcome others to offer them a space to feel safe in as well.

It’s a place that I can express myself in – tell my story through the possessions that live in there.

A place to make memories: ‘firsts’, milestones and new beginnings - a place to bring people together.

For me home is a feeling, and we all deserve to feel as grounded as we can do on a daily basis.

Here at MB Interior Consultation, I take a holistic approach to working, creating a more personal service for you.

It’s not necessarily just about the things we have in our home, but the colours, textures and materials too. How does it make me feel? How much time do I want to spend in there, and do I feel better for it?

What you need from an interior to achieve a space that makes you feel good will differ for everyone, but it’s an exciting journey to set out to find what it is for you.

If you want help on your interior journey, take a look at the packages I offer for all budgets here. Alternatively, you can call me for a free 15-minute consultation, and we can figure out what package may be best for you and your home.

About Me

Based on the south coast of England, I am an Interior Consultant and Stylist aiming to help transform peoples spaces in order to improve their daily wellbeing.

After working with clients on 3D design projects for 3 years, my career took a slightly different turn, focusing on Digital Interior set design. However, as both roles were both more retail focused, I quickly realised something was missing for me.

At a similar stage, spending so much time at home during lockdown heightened this realisation for me; highlighting how important my environment was to my own everyday wellbeing.

After taking some time out to travel, I decided I wanted to combine my passion for Interiors and Wellness, and use my skills to help people create their own sanctuaries at home no matter budget or brief.

About the service..

What’s the difference between Interior Styling and Interior Design?

“Designers are scientists, stylists are magicians”

Whilst there are similarities between designers and stylists, the main difference is that a designer will focus mainly on structure, function and layout, and a stylist will focus more on the finishing of a room; the scheme, decor and aesthetic touches.

You would hire an interior designer if you were looking at a full renovation project that needs walls moving around etc, and you would hire a stylist if you are looking at ‘re-decorating’.

What is Holistic design and why have I chosen this?

Holistic design is an approach that considers, and aims to support the psychological and physical wellbeing of the occupants, not just the practical element of the space. The aim is to enhance your daily wellbeing, and help you live in harmony with the space and not against it. Ultimately, holistic design means understanding that the spaces in which we live should have a direct connection to how we live and how we feel.

This approach to design allows me to offer a much more personal service to clients, instead of relying on trends to underpin the schemes. Whilst trends are good for inspiration, they aren’t personal to any one person, so a scheme fully based on a trend will always lack some soul. This type of approach ensures the scheme I come up with is personal to you, and considers exactly what you need to live in a more harmonious environment.

Why choose my service? The benefits…

With the increasing cost of living, ever-changing state of the property market and post pandemic way of life, people are looking for ways to improve their home. However, with so much choice and information overload, this can be an overwhelming and daunting task. My packages offer a chance to simplify this process, and for you to access expert advice on how to achieve the look or feel you are after without having to employ the full service of an interior designer. Employing an interior designer is far more expensive, and their services are first and foremost structural over decorative.

My packages are all collaborative, and with your needs at the forefront of everything, we will work together in order to find exactly what it is that’s going to make your scheme right for you. The happiness of my clients in their home, and helping them feel good is at the core of the business, and the design of the packages compliments this purpose.

One of the main benefits of the packages is their affordability and accessibility, something I have specifically looked at in order to ensure the services are accessible to everyone. There are options for a speedy turn around and ‘quick fix, but also a full experience for the more luxury customer, catering for all needs.

Ultimately, how you feel and function in your home is imperative to your daily wellbeing, and I want my services to allow people to access the help where they need it.
